Plant-to-Sensor concept of operation

PlantScreen™ phenotyping systems operating under the plant-to-sensor concept are fully automated, modular platforms designed for high-precision, high-throughput analysis of plant traits. Plants are transported—either automatically via conveyor belts or manually—from growth areas to centralized, light-insulated imaging cabinets, where standardized environmental and measurement conditions are ensured. In addition to advanced imaging technologies such as RGB, chlorophyll fluorescence, hyperspectral, thermal, and 3D scanning, these systems integrate auxiliary modules for automated watering and weighing, mixing solutions, and spraying treatments, enabling precise irrigation, nutrient delivery, and experimental interventions while maintaining optimal throughput and sensor utilization.
